ClOTHES..they say, talk a lot !
-Deepannita Sarma ( Sankretik )
Clothes, they say, talk a lot about who we are, what we are..!If clothes could speak,
I'd not have to justify everytime I wore kurta over something else
I'd not have to pull down my top each time I passed by those lanes
For when they worship me,
I'd not have to shed tears for all those goddesses who walk down the alley at night
But, alas, never reach home!
Well, who will fight?
If clothes could speak,
I'd not have to think hundred times before I wear that dress
And question.. What would they think of me.. Would I be called a mess?
I'd not have to think a thousand times before getting up in a crowded bus, even in a saree
And in your prayers, you say you're afraid of my fury
When, taking out my life from me, my body you bury
If clothes could really speak,
I'd not have been dragged away from the temple where I was being worshipped!
