Homeless

- Milik Ahmed

I have seen the homeless
Dwelling on the street bare feet;
Starving, Sweating and
Dust filled their body.
They don't have the luxury
to wear good robes
To have a proper plate of meal.
Under the heat, sunlight and stormy nights
They don't get a shelter to hide
They never wanted Bisleri
Or delicious chicken bucket from KFC
All they want is something to eat
Something to calm their starving stomach
I have seen the homeless
Dwelling on the street
Under the shade of flyovers
And out corner of Shops
They don't harm anyone;
They don't bring violence
All they look for is
A proper plate of meal everywhere
I have seen the homeless
Dwelling on the street bare feet
I have seen them suffering a lot,
More than they deserve or need.
